Primo Estate Joseph Sparkling Red is a unique blend of museum wines dating back to the 1960s. It is Primo Estate's take on the iconic Australian sparkling red wine style.

Every year since 1989, a barrel of Shiraz has been added to the base wine. A barrel of Joseph Moda Cabernet Merlot has been added every year since 1991.

Only a small amount of the wine is drawn off and bottled every 18-24 months, ensuring the base wine retains its aged characters. Each bottle is then inoculated for traditional secondary fermentation.

After resting on yeast lees for 24 months, the wine is disgorged manually (the lees removed) and a blend of aged Australian fortified wine is carefully added.

Dark red with a fine bead, Primo Estate Joseph Sparkling Red is full bodied and rich, savoury yet balanced with layered complexity. Drink soon after release.
